Rebounds factored into the Bison's first goal of the day. After Kaiden Scott's first shot was blocked Thomas Dempsey the rebound flew out to Zac Gmerek at the blue line who quickly put the puck pack on target where Scott's stick found it once again to trim the gap back to one, 2, with 2:29 remaining in the second period.
A pair of power play goals by the Bison helped Nichols tie the game at 2-all 3:17 into the third before the lead exchanged in the visitors favor with 4:20 remaining in regulation.
