EAST BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey stumbled in its 2023-24 season debut to Albertus Magnus, 6-2, Friday afternoon at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons poured in three unanswered goals in the first four minutes to take a lead they would never relinquish.
Nick Liotino eliminated the shutout as he lit the lamp with help from Joe O'Brien and Devin Lowe 1:06 after Albertus Magnus' third goal of the day to chip the distance down to a pair. The 3-1 gap remained at the first intermission.
AMC added a power play goal in the middle period to restore the three-goal margin that grew to five in the first 10 minutes of the third period.
Lowe put away his own goal with 2:11 remaining in regulation thanks to a set-up from O'Brien to make it the 6-2 final.
NETMINDER NOTES
- Chris Jackson took the loss. He allowed three goals and made two saves.
- Kannon Flageolle registered 28 stops off the bench for the Rams.
- Logan Bateman notched a 30-save, winning effort for the Falcons.
