BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey wraps up the regular-season this weekend with Commonwealth Coast Conference clashes against No. 6 Curry and Wentworth. The Rams welcome the Colonels to Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink Friday, Feb. 17 for a 6 p.m. match. The blue-and-gold's regular-season finale is on tap for Saturday, Feb. 18 against the Leopards at Allied Veterans Memorial Rink in Everett, Massachusetts.

LAST TIME OUT
No. 4 Endicott was too much for Suffolk men's hockey as the Gulls offense was red hot and handed the Rams a 9-1 setback Saturday night at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk (6-15-2, 4-14-1 CCC) | looks to snap a five-game skid this weekend and secure a spot in the CCC playoffs.  

Four different skaters have hit the double-digit point mark this season led by Ryan Webb's 14. He has found the back of the net five times and assisted on nine set-ups. Griffin Clark's 12-point stat line is evenly divided in half with six goals and six assists. Peter Nugent (5g, 6a) and Ryan Harrigan (4g, 6a) round out the foursome.  

Cal Wilcox (3.19 GAA, .902 save percentage) has played the bulk of time in net with 19 appearances, 18 starts. Jarret Bovarnick has got the nod as of late with. Over eight games played, five starts, he has assembled a 3.98 GAA and .883 save percentage. 

COLONELS CATCH UP
Curry (18-4-1, 14-4-1 CCC) defeated Wentworth (6-0) and Western new England (4-2) to ride a two-game win streak into the weekend, which it opens at Suffolk Friday.  

The trio of Timmy Kent (15g, 19a), Nick Favaro (7g, 25a) and Mark Zhukov (11g, 20a) have all surpassed the 30-point plateau to anchor the Colonels 101-goal offensive output. 

Reid Cooper is the usual goaltender for Curry. In 21 games played, all starts, he has assembled a 1.86 GAA and .934 save percentage. 

WE MEET AGAIN
Curry clipped Suffolk in both battles in the CCC home-and-home series Jan. 20-21. The Colonels outscored the Rams, 10-3.

EYES ON THE GAME

LEOPARDS LOOK
Wentworth has fallen in seven straight to sit 4-18-1 on the year and 2-16-1 in CCC contests. The Leopards start the weekend at Western New England Friday.  

Jacob Shankar and Nikolas Sombrowski are the only Leopards to hit the double figure point mark. Shankar leads the way with 13 on five goals and eight assists. Sombrowski's 10 points meanwhile are split between goals (5) and handouts (5). 

In net Jack McGovern is the usual starter for WIT. He holds a 3.56 GAA and .884 save percentage in his 15 appearances, 13 starts. 

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk swept the home-and-home series with Wentworth Jan. 13-14 behind a pair of 2-1 overtime decisions over Wentworth.

  • The Suffolk, Wentworth rivalry is one of the oldest for the Rams, dating back to 1992. 
  • The Rams trail the all-time series, 17-24-1.
