No. 10 Curry Charges Past Men’s Hockey, 6-2

EAST BOSTON – A three-goal second period for No. 10 Curry proved to be the difference as Suffolk men's hockey never climbed out of the hole and fell to the Colonels, 6-2, Saturday at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 2 | No. 10 Curry 6
RECORDS: Suffolk (5-9-2, 3-9-1 CCC) | No. 10 Curry (15-2-0, 11-2-0 CCC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
The teams traded goals in the first period to keep things even. Suffolk struck as Ryan Harrigan lit the lamp at the midway point of the opening stanza with help from Will MacNeil and Tyler Anastasi. The lead was short lived for the Rams as the Colonels caught up less than two minutes later when Tarek Paranica netted a power play puck to lock things at 1-all.

Curry commanded the second period with three unanswered goals to make things lopsided in its favor, 4-1.

Timmy Kent completed his hat trick with a short-handed strike 3:15 into the third period to stretch the gap to 5-1 in favor of the Colonels.

Devin Lowe made up some ground 13 seconds later as he turned a pass from MacNeil into a goal, however it would not enough as Mark Zhukov restored three four-goal margin at the 15:53 minute mark with a power play strike, his second goal of the night.
