Men’s Hockey Upended by No. 13 Endicott

EAST BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey lit the lamp first, but could not keep up with No. 13 Endicott the over the second and third periods, respectively, as the Gulls got past the Rams, 6-1, Saturday in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 1 | No. 13 Endicott 6
RECORDS: Suffolk (1-5-0, 1-5-0 CCC) | Endicott (7-1-0, 6-0-0- CCC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
A give-and-go breakaway between Max Rand and Ryan Webb resulted in game-opening goal 3:07 into the action. Troy Ladka set-up the play by pushing the puck ahead to Webb, who skated alongside Rand into the Gulls zone. Webb dished to Rand at the left face-off dot and Rand gave it right back to the freshman for a quick wrister that zipped past Atticus Kelly and into the netting.

Suffolk stayed in front at the end of the first 20 minutes. Endicott took over from there as it poured in four goals in the second stanza and two more in the third for the lopsided 6-1 margin.
