No. 13 Endicott Too Much for Men’s Hockey

BEVERLY, Mass. – No. 13 Endicott scored early in each period to control the pace of the game and shutout Suffolk men's hockey, 4-0, Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Endicott potted two pucks in the opening 20 minutes less than three minutes apart. Ryan Willet's unassisted strike at the 6:49 mark started the scoring. Zach Mazur followed suit with help from Andrew Kurapov and Connor Beatty on the power play 2:33 latter.  

Ryan Gaulin pushed the gap to 3-0 7:01 into the second period. Eric Johansson and Willett assisted on the Gulls third goal of the night.  

Mazur tucked away his second power play goal of the night 31 into the third period for the 4-0 final. Gualin and Kurapov picked up their second points on the special team's goal. 

NETMINDER NOTES

  • Cal Wilcox recorded 36 stops in the setback. 
  • Ryan Wilson had 16 saves in the victory.

  • Suffolk played a ranked foe for the first time this season and first time since skating at then-No. 15 Endicott Feb. 18, 2022. 
  • Cole Scott made his collegiate debut.
