AHCA RELEASE | KRAMPADE ALL-AMERICAN SCHOLARS

BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey had nine players honored as Krampade All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) for the 2021-22 season, the national organization announced.

Joe Feeney and John Garrity marked the list for the fourth consecutive campaign. Alex KolowratNick Lachaineand Cal Wilcox took home the award for the third straight season, while Sergi AnisimovJames ClarkePhil Decresce and PJ Donahue etched their name on the list for the first time in their collegiate careers.

The Rams have garnered the nod for exceptional results in the classroom since the inception of the award six years ago. Suffolk's nine honorees rank third in the Rams' record books behind the 2016-17 (10) and 2018-19 (11) seasons, which saw double-digit Suffolk student-athletes recognized.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 grade point average for each semester, and, with the season back in full swing following the untraditional 2020-21 campaign, the AHCA reinstated the play component of appearing in 40 percent of the team's games, however, exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goalies.

Suffolk's nine honorees were a part of the 38 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) skaters recognized for their work inside the classroom. Curry had the most selections with 16 followed by the Rams nine. Nichols (6), Endicott (4) and the University of New England (3) are represented on the list as well. Overall, 408 honorees across Division II-III men picked up the feat. For a full list of honorees, click here
