BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey wraps up its regular-season with Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action against No. 15 Endicott and Wentworth Feb. 18-19. The Rams will travel to the nationally ranked Gulls Friday before hosting the Leopards at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink Saturday. Both conference clashes have 7 p.m. starts with the regular-season finale in Charlestown Saturday serving as Suffolk's Senior Night.

SUFFOLK ATHLETICS 2021-22 FAN POLICY
Suffolk University Athletics, following guidance from the University's health and safety protocols, Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Centers for Disease Control and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, plans to allow fans to attend home athletic contests during the 2021-22 academic and athletic year.

Fans, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, can attend games. They must be masked the entire time they are on campus, pursuant to institutional policy, and complete a health screening form at the security desk of each building upon arrival. This policy applies to home contests played on campus at the Ridgeway Building's Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, as well as the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink and the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

For outdoor outings, specifically at East Boston Memorial Park, fans are asked to respect COVID safety protocols. At this time, masks will not be mandated for fans no matter vaccinated status at outdoor venues.

LAST TIME OUT
Troy Ladka scored with 28 seconds left in overtime to lift Suffolk men's hockey over Rivier, 4-3, Tuesday at Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink in the Rams and Raiders first-ever meeting.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk concluded its non-conference calendar with a 4-3 overtime win over Rivier Tuesday to head into the weekend 7-11-4 on the season. The Rams have already earned a spot in the CCC post-season with a 6-9-4 league ledger. 

Devin Lowe has powered the Rams' 60-goal offense with 18 points of his own with six goals and 12 assists. Shawn Montgomery (6g, 7a) and Nick Lachaine (5g, 7a) are usual factors in the offense as well.  

Cal Wilcox is Suffolk's every day starter in net. In 20 games played, all starts, he brings in a .900 save percentage and 3.51 GAA. 

GET TO KNOW THE GULLS
Endicott (16-6-1, 13-5-1 CCC) saw its four-game win streak end to No. 11 University of New England, 5-4, Tuesday. 

The Gulls have found the back of the net 78 times through 23 games this season. Andrew Kurapov anchors the attack with 21 points divided between 10 goals and 11 assists. Mitch Shaheen (9g, 9a) is second on the squad with 18 points with Zach Mazur (8g, 9a) rounding out the top three.  

Conor O'Brien is the usual starter in net for Endicott. He boasts a .952 save percentage and 1.32 GAA. 

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk split the first two meetings with Endicott this season. The Rams upset the then-No. 14 Gulls, 3-2, in Charlestown, Jan. 28, before falling to on the road, 3-0, Feb. 8.

  • The Rams are now 2-7-1 all-time against the Gulls in a series that started in 2015.
  • Both of Suffolk's victories over the Gulls have come by a one-goal margin.

EYES ON THE GAME

LEOPARDS LOOK
Wentworth fell to Endicott, 4-1, in its last outing to dip to 5-15-3 on the year and 4-13-2 in CCC play. Prior to traveling to Charlestown Saturday, the Leopards will entertain Curry Friday, Feb. 18.  

Kevin Obssuth has been the main ingredient to WIT's 51 goals this season. The junior forward has had his stick in 24 with as he leads the team in goals (11) and assists (13). Joey O'Leary is on the verge of 20 points as well with 10 goals and nine helpers. Josh Faussett (4g, 8a), Jake McKenelley (3g, 9a) and George Weiner (4g, 8a) all have 12 points apiece.  

Will Oliver has played the bulk of the action in net. He brings a .904 save percentage and 2.92 GAA into the weekend. 

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk picked up four CCC points in the home-and-home series with Wentworth Nov. 5-6. The Rams and Leopards tied, 4-4, in game one with WIT taking the extra point in the shootout, before the Rams kept Wentworth off the scoreboard in game two, 5-0.

  • The Suffolk, Wentworth rivalry is one of the oldest for the Rams, dating back to 1992.
