HOW IT HAPPENED
Scoring started early, 11 seconds to be exact, as Morgan Austin potted a puck off the initial face-off for the Nor'Easters. The edge would not last long as Devin Lowe responded for the Rams just 33 seconds later. The junior had help from Billy Roche and Shawn Montgomery to level the playing field at 1-all.

Nearly two minutes later UNE went ahead behind a power play goal from Aaaron Aragon. That strike would be followed up by one from Ryan Kuzmich at the 11:16 mark that sent Suffolk into the first intermission down by a pair, 3-1.

That distance grew even further as the Nor'Easters scored twice in the second and 21 seconds into the third to make matters lopsided, 6-1.

Suffolk found its way back on the board with a pair of unanswered goals, however, the markers were spaced out by nearly 16 minutes. Daniil Ovchinnikov's short-handed strike came first at the 1:15 minute mark and Shawn Montgomery's power play goal was put away with 2:28 remaining in regulation.

Thanks goals trimmed the gap in half, 6-3. The Nor'Easters would go on two score twice more to hold off any form of comeback from the Rams.
