Men’s Golf Finishes 17th at Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Suffolk men's golf claimed 17th at the Bowdoin Invitational over the weekend at the Brunswick Golf Club. 

The Rams finished +55 over par to finish ahead of Wesleyan, Springfield, the University of New England, Southern Maine and Thomas. 

Individually, Jake Zirlin and Cameron Sinpoli stood out for Suffolk. The junior and senior captain shared 57th as each carded a 157. Zirlin shot a 75 followed by an 82, while SInopoli logged a 78 and tacked on another stroke on day two on the course.

Junior Jonathan Donovan tied for 67th with a 158 and senior Vijay Sakuru supplied a 162 to Suffolk's combined score, good for a share of 80th.  

Christopher Sinopoli competed as well and finished the 36-hole event with a 163 to take a share of 85th. 

Suffolk will be idle until Oct. 14-15 when it vies for the NEIGA Championship at the Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.
