Bowdoin Invitational Next for Men’s Golf

BOSTON – After a weekend away from competition, Suffolk men's golf gets back in the swing of things this weekend, Sept. 23-24 at the Bowdoin Invitational at the Brunswick Golf Club. Fans can follow the action live here.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's golf tied for 10th at the 39th Duke Nelson Invitational over the weekend at Ralph Myhre Golf Club.

THE COURSE
The Brunswick Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course whose origins date back to the late 1800s. It stretches from the back tees to over 6,600 yards with a par of 72.  

Suffolk will head up on Friday to participate in an 18-hole practice round to scout the lines and strategy for a successful invitational. 

THE COMPETITION
Twenty-one teams will converge in Vacation Land this weekend. Along with the Rams and host Bowdoin, Suffolk will see familiar faces of Commonwealth Coast Conference counterparts Endicott, Nichols and the University of New England. Trinity, Eastern Connecticut State, Husson, Williams, Wesleyan, Bates, Tufts, Thomas, Middlebury, Colby, Springfield, NYU, Salem State, Amherst, Hamilton and Southern Maine will be represented on the green as well.  

TEE TIMES
Action begins Saturday, Sept. 23 at 1:00 p.m. with the second-day scheduled to get going Sunday, Sept. 24 at 9 a.m. Both days have shotgun starts.  

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is sending seniors Cameron Sinopoli and Vijay Sakuru, juniors Jonathan Donovan and Jake Zirlin and sophomore Christopher Sinopoli to the Bowdoin Invitational. 

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
The Rams are away from action until Oct. 14-15 when they vie for the NEIGA Championship at the Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.
