Men’s Golf to Tee Off at Bowdoin Invitational


BOSTON – Suffolk men's golf is back in action this weekend as the Rams take their talents to Brunswick, Maine for the Bowdoin Invitational at the Brunswick Golf Club Sept. 24-25.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's golf got its season going with a 14th-place performance at Middlebury's 38th Duke Nelson Invitational Sept. 10-11 at The Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

THE COURSE
The Brunswick Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course whose origins date back to the late 1800's. It stretches from the back tees to over 6,600 yards with a par of 72. 

Suffolk will head up on Friday to participate in an 18-hole practice round to scout the lines and strategy for a successful Invitational.

THE COMPETITION
Nine different teams will converge in Vacation Lane this weekend. Along with the Rams and the host Bowdoin, Suffolk will see the familiar faces of CCC counterparts Endicott and Nichols at the Brunswick Golf Club. Bates, Colby, Salem State, Trinity and Wesleyan are set to compete as well. 

TEE TIMES
Action begins Saturday, Sept. 24 with a 1:00 p.m. with the second-day scheduled to get going at 9:00 a.m. Both days have shotgun starts.  

RAMS RUNDOWN

Junior Mauro Stanchieri aims to build on his fine showing at The Duke Nelson Invitational. Captain Cameron SinopoliVijay SakuruJake Zirlin and Christopher Sinopoli will round out the Rams on the course in Brunswick, Maine this weekend.  

LOOKING AHEAD
Suffolk will play for a spot at the 2023 CCC Championship at the rescheduled CCC Qualifier Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Green Valley Country Club in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
