AUTUMN ACHIEVEMENTS
Suffolk's fall highlight was clinching a spot in the 2022 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) with a fourth-place finish at the CCC Qualifier at the Dunegrass Golf Course in Old Orchard Beach, Maine Sept. 16. The Rams wrapped up their fall slate with a 14th-place performance at the NEIGA Championships at the Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
Suffolk will participate in a head-to-head match for the first time since Sept. 29, 2016 when it took on Eastern Nazarene. The Rams won that battle, 324-428.

LEOPARDS LOOK
Similar to Suffolk, Wentworth will get its spring started Thursday as well. The Leopards competed alongside the blue-and-gold in the fall at the CCC Qualifier, where they finished in a share of seventh, and the NEIGA Championships, where they captured 13th.

RAMS VS. WENTWORTH
Suffolk and Wentworth met twice in the fall, at the CCC Qualifier and at the NEIGA Championships. At the conference event, the Rams edged out the Leopards, 338-349. The teams traded places on the regional stage, however, with WIT defeating the blue-and-gold, 670-704

THE SERIES

  • According to Suffolk's year-to-year record book, which dates back to 2008, the Rams and Wentworth will square off in a head-to-head match for the first time.

THE COURSE
The George Wright Golf Club in Boston is familiar to Suffolk, having competed on the course every since except one since 2011-12.

It is a Donald Ross public golf course in Hyde Park, Massachusetts that was opened in 1938 after receiving President Roosevelt's Workers Progress Administration (WPA) funding to complete the construction.

COMING UP
Suffolk is set to travel to the Green Valley Country Club in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Monday, April 25 for the Roger Williams Invitational that has a 10:00 a.m. tee time.
