Men’s Golf Captures Third Match of 2016, Wins EC Saints Invitational

HYDE PARK, Mass. – For the third time this season, the Suffolk men's golf team came out on top as the Rams took home the team crown of the 2016 EC Saints Invite with a team score of 325 Tuesday afternoon at the George Wright Golf Course. 

Host Emmanuel carded a 352 to finish second while Mitchell finished third with a team score of 370. Rounding out the field, Dean came in with a 396. 

All five Rams broke 90 on the scoreboard led by a team-low of 78 from freshman Owen Boggini, just one stroke shy of individual medalist Mitchell's junior David Eichelberg. Fellow rookie Elias Sachs played well with an 80 out of the No. 5 spot followed by an 82 from classmate Demetrois Stamouli. Freshman Andrew Harper wasn't far behind with an 85 out of the No. 4 spot. Stephen Ferrante also took the course for the Rams with the sophomore shooting an 89. 

Suffolk takes the weekend off to prepare for the GNAC Championships, which are set for Oct. 15-16 at the Gorham Country Club in Gorham, Maine.
