BOSTON – The Suffolk men's golf team will take the course at the Allendale Country Club with its GNAC counterparts this weekend with the winner taking home the conference championship. The two-day event hosted by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth will tee-off at 10:30 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Championship concluded Sunday, as the Suffolk Rams claimed eighth overall.

After starting the day in ninth place with 342 points, Suffolk totaled a team score of 332 in the second round to finish with a combined two-day score of 672.

POLL POSITION
The 2015 Suffolk golf team was selected to finish seventh at this weekend's GNAC Championship, by the league's nine coaches, according to an announcement made by the conference office Thursday afternoon.

The Rams, who earned 29 points were pegged to finish ahead of Emmanuel (20) and Albertus Magnus (10). The four-time defending GNAC Champion Rhode Island College is favored to win the league with seven first-place votes and 78 points, while Saint Joseph's of Maine (62), Johnson & Wales (61), UMass Dartmouth (59) and Southern Maine (50) rounding out the top five.

Allendale Country Club is a 73-par championship course.   

A YEAR AGO
The Suffolk golf team placed fifth overall in the 2014 GNAC Tournament.

Suffolk finished with an overall score of 618 as it shot a 618 scoring with a 309 on each day.
