The Suffolk University Golf team opened their 2013 Fall season with a quad match victory on Wednesday afternoon hosted by Emmanuel College at Franklin Park. Suffolk shot a team-best 321 in the four team field. Freshman Diego Schiffino (Santa Domingo, D.R.) won the individual medal for top shooter on the day as he carded a course low 76 for the afternoon.
Junior Chris Taggart (Norwood, Mass.) finished the day shooting 79, as he and Schiffino were two of four players in the 20-player field to shoot under an 80.
Rounding out the field for Suffolk were; junior Tim Benedetto (Peabody, Mass.) who carded an 81, senior Joe Surace (Pearl River, N.Y.) who shot an 85 and sophomore Matthew Rosenberg (Needham, Mass.) who recorded a score of 89.
Suffolk will be back on the greens on October 4th as they travel to Rhode Island College.
