BOSTON – With 28-point performances each, Evan Cook and Keenan Robertson powered Suffolk men's basketball to an 80-73 Commonwealth Coast Conference victory over Wentworth Saturday afternoon at Larry E. and Michael S. THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 80 | Wentworth 73
RECORDS: Suffolk (7-5, 4-2 CCC) | Wentworth (5-8, 1-4 CCC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Over the first 20 minutes the score leveled five times and the lead switched three with the Rams hanging onto the upper hand at halftime, 38-36.

A two-possession game hung around for most of the season stanza. Freebies from Cook jump started an 8-0 Suffolk stretch that broke a 57-all tie and gave the host its largest lead of the day, 65-57, with just under five minutes remaining in regulation.

Back-to-back buckets from behind-the-arc by Sam Goy restored a one-possession gap, 65-63, at the 3:31 mark.

A back-and-forth affair ensued. Suffolk never let go of the lead despite Wentworth's best attempts at a comeback and put the game away at the free throw line. Those foul shots down the stretch featured Cook's 1,000th point on the front end of a two-shot trip to the charity stripe.
