BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk fell behind early and could not catch up as Endicott shot past men's basketball, 85-70, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at MacDonald Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

SCORE: Suffolk 70 | Endicott 85
RECORDS: Suffolk (3-3, 0-2 CCC) | Endicott (4-2, 2-0 CCC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Endicott poured in the first seven points and forced Suffolk into a double-digit hole early on. The Rams attempted to climb out of the deficit on the multiple occasions, but it wouldn't be until the final two minutes when the blue-and-gold really made a move.

Kyle Phillips converted two free throws to start the Rams half-ending rally. The sophomore's two points was followed by a traditional three-point play from William Rowe before he put up a buzzer beater lay-up to send Suffolk into the locker room down by just a pair of possessions, 37-31.

To start the second, Jake Gomez poured in a trey and Conor Creane followed with a pull-up jumper to bring the blue-and-gold within five, 41-36, at the 17:57 minute mark.

A Suffolk scoring lull over the next 2:47 allowed Endicott to not only rebuild its double-figure margin, but extend it to 16, 52-36.

For every comeback the Rams tried to put together, the Gulls responded to maintain a double-digit distance the rest of the way to take the 85-70 victory.
