BOSTON – Suffolk men's basketball team brings its four-game win streak back to Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court Saturday, Dec. 4 for a clash with Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) counterpart Western New England. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.

SUFFOLK ATHLETICS 2021-22 FAN POLICY
Suffolk University Athletics, following guidance from the University's health and safety protocols, Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Centers for Disease Control and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, plans to allow fans to attend home athletic contests during the 2021-22 academic and athletic year.

Fans, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, can attend games. They must be masked the entire time they are on campus, pursuant to institutional policy, and complete a health screening form at the security desk of each building upon arrival. This policy applies to home contests played on campus at the Ridgeway Building's Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, as well as the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink and the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

For outdoor outings, specifically at East Boston Memorial Park, fans are asked to respect COVID safety protocols. At this time, masks will not be mandated for fans no matter vaccinated status at outdoor venues.

LAST TIME OUT
Four Rams produced double digits in scoring paced by a game-high 23-point effort from Aidan Sullivan to power Suffolk men's basketball to a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opening 85-74 victory over the University of New England Wednesday night at Harold Alfond Forum.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has strung together four victories in a row to sit 5-1 overall and 1-0 in CCC action.  

The Rams 86.5 ppg offense sees 20.2 ppg from Nate HaleJohn Gates and Aidan Sullivan both pitch in 13.0 ppg to round out the threesome averaging double figures. William Rowe is on the verge of double digits in scoring as well with 9.8 ppg. 

Defensively, Rowe and Keenan Robertson lead the way on the glass with 5.8 rpg each. As a team Suffolk grabs 38.7 rpg. 

GET TO KNOW THE GOLDEN BEARS
Western New England has fallen in three straight, including a 79-75 setback at Curry Wednesday, Dec. 1, to sit 2-5 on the year and 0-1 in CCC play.  

Three different players are scoring in double figures to pace the Golden Bears' 77.4 ppg offense. Alex Sikorski's 15.3 ppg leads the way with Gavin Green and Brian Geitner chipping in 14.1 ppg and 13.9 ppg, respectively.  

Kenny Flynn's 8.6 rpg paces WNE's effort on the board with Sikorski grabbing 5.4 rpg and Tim Restall pulling down 5.3 rpg.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk sits 8-14 all-time in the series with Western New England. 
  • In the last meeting, the Rams fell to the Golden Bears, 77-59, Jan. 4, 2020.
