Men’s Basketball’s Unveils 76th Season Schedule

2021-22 SUFFOLK MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE

BOSTON – Coming off a shortened campaign due to the worldwide pandemic, Suffolk men's basketball looks to get back to full-speed in a 25-game regular-season in 2021-22 head coach Jeff Juron announced Tuesday afternoon. The 76th Rams' campaign features 11 home games, and 16 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contests.

The Rams get the ball rolling at the Babson Invitational Nov. 6-7 where Suffolk will face a pair of NEWMAC opponents in Coast Guard (Nov. 6) and tournament hosts Beavers (Nov. 7).

Suffolk's home crowd will not have to wait long to cheer on the Rams as they are set to lift the lid at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court Thursday, Nov. 18 in a non-conference matchup against Tufts. 

The opening month of action is closed out when the blue-and-gold face three more non-league foes. The Rams travel to Framingham State (Nov. 20), and UMass Boston (Nov. 29) with a home fixture against Boston Common rival Emerson (Nov. 23) in the mix as well. 

The beginning of the CCC era will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 1 when the Rams head to Biddeford, Maine to take on University of New England. Just three days later, the Rams host the Golden Bears of Western New England (Dec. 4), before wrapping up the semester at Roger Williams (Dec. 7). 

Returning from winter break, Suffolk plays 10 games in the month of January, nine against CCC counterparts. 

Suffolk will host Nichols on a Tuesday, Jan. 4 before traveling to Wenham, Massachusetts to tangle with Gordon Thursday, Jan. 6. The Rams return to Ridgeway for another conference contest two days later with fellow Boston local Wentworth (Jan. 8). 

A visit to Milton, Massachusetts is on tap for Wednesday, Jan. 12 to face Curry. Three days later the Rams will look to defend homecourt against the Endicott Gulls (Jan. 15). 

A week away from home is in store next with visits to Salve Regina Tuesday, Jan. 19 and Western New England Saturday, Jan. 22. 

Gordon stops by Beacon Hill on Tuesday, Jan. 25, and then its right back on the road for the Rams, who venture to Dudley, Massachusetts for a Saturday showdown at Nichols (Jan. 29). 

Suffolk steps out of conference competition Monday, Jan. 31 when the Rams cap off their non-league schedule at Lesley.   

The pursuit for the CCC crown continues at Wentworth on Wednesday, Feb. 2. That Beantown battle precedes home bouts against Salve Regina (Feb. 5), University of New England (Feb. 8), Curry (Feb. 12) and Roger Williams (Feb. 16). 

The regular season wraps up at The Nest when the Rams stopover Endicott Saturday, Jan. 19. 

Juron brings back solid contributors from last season's squad that went 6-2 in its COVID calendar. Nate Hale returned for his fifth year after supplying 21.5 ppg a year ago and etching his name in the Rams' record book as the first-ever D3Hoops.com All-Region honoree. Forward William Rowe (8.9 rpg) will be back for his senior season, while Aidan Sullivan (5.8 apg) looks to command the back court in his junior year.
