BOSTON – Suffolk baseball is set to take the field on Patriots Day in a Beantown battle versus Boston Commons neighbor Emerson. First pitch at East Boston Memorial Park is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.

Suffolk baseball jumped out to a six-run lead in the first five frames and Harry Painter fanned 10 batters en route to a 6-3 game two victory over Western New England Sunday at the Trelease Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk snapped a four-game skid yesterday as it swept Western New England for the first time since winning back-to-back games over the Golden Bears in 2005-06. Those wins pushed the Rams to 14-12 on the year.  

Jonny Gilbride has emerged as the Rams' offensive team leads as the senior shortstop sits nearly every offensive category including hits (36), RBI 931) and runs scored (32). Harry Painter and Garret Roberts have surpassed the 30-hit mark as well with 33 and 31, respectively. The former has

LIONS LOOK
Emerson split a double feature at Springfield Saturday to move to 5-17 on the year. 

Chris Ferara has brought in a team-high 21 runs on a team-best 24 hits and scored seven times himself to lead the Lions offense output at the plate. Braeden O'Connell (23 H, 11 RBI, 13 R) and Briggs Loveland (22 H, 14 RBI, 12 R) are consistent factors in the scoring conversation as well, while Nicholas Favazzo has scored a team-high 21 times and added 20 hits and five RBI to the offense total.  

Emerson has a number of arms it could choose from to get the nod in Shane Moriarty (13.1 IP, 4.73 ERA, 6 K), Ezra Charles (13.1 IP, 6.74 ERA, 23 K), Benny Guevara (18.0 IP, 7.00 ERA, 19 K), Ty Bourne (4.2 IP, 3 K) or Russell Silverman (4.0 IP, 4 K).
