D3Baseball.com Team of the Week

BOSTON – Christian Seariac of the Suffolk baseball team has been named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week for his effort in the Rams' regular-season finale twinbill sweep of Wentworth May 7.

The Team of the Week is D3Baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its 10th season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's Sports Information Directors.

Seariac slashed .556/.600/1.222 on the week. In game one against the Leopards, he provided two hits, including a double, one RBI and scored one run in the 6-4 victory. The third baseman really stood out in the nightcap, a 19-1, seven-inning offensive onslaught over WIT, as he went 3-for-5 and was a double away from hitting the cycle. He brought in seven runs, the most by a Ram since Luke Ronchi had seven in the 2017 season opener, an 11-3, win over then-No. 9 St. John Fisher, March 10, 2017.  He added a pair of runs in the victory.

The weekly recognition is the first for the graduate student.

The Framingham, Massachusetts native is the fourth-ever Suffolk baseball player to be recognized on the national team of the week, first positional player to earn the feat, as the previous trio has all been pitchers in Chuck Gibson '17, Jake Flax '18 and Worth Walrod '19.

Seariac and the Rams are back in action this afternoon as they open the double-elimination portion of the CCC Tournament at top-seeded Salve Regina at 3 p.m.
