BOSTON – Suffolk baseball returns to its Commonwealth Cost Conference (CCC) calendar and does so with at home as the Rams welcome the Seahawks of Salve Regina to East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, April 16 for a conference twinbill. Game one has a 12 p.m. start.

LAST TIME OUT
In a game that saw 13 pitchers, 30 hits and 29 runs, Suffolk baseball came out on the wrong side of a 16-13 decision to Wheaton Wednesday afternoon at Sidell Stadium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk split its midweek action with a win at Bridgewater State (12-9) and setback at Wheaton (16-13) to move to 14-11 on the season. In CCC, the Rams are 2-4 with its last league outing resulting in a 16-2 triumph at Gordon.   

The blue-and-gold bats have produced 25 runs over the last two games. This season, Suffolk has scored 212 runs on 196 hits behind a team average of .317. The trio of Harry PainterLuke Harder and Joe Ward are the main providers at the plate. Painter has an impressive slash line of .432/.485/.864 with 38 hits, 29 RBI and 27 runs scored. Harder matches Painters hits with 38 of his own on a .384 average to go along with 31 RBI, 21 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. Ward has identical hits and RBI with 31 each. He has also scored 28 times.  

Suffolk has been pitching by committee as of late. EJ Birch (3.20 ERA, 19.2 IP, 15 K) will most likely get the nod in one of the two outings Saturday with the other spot up for grabs between Garret Roberts (3.07 ERA, 14.2 IP, 17 K), Nick Reiser (28.1 IP, 26 K), Michael Muscarella (25.0 IP, 23 K) and Steven Rossi (21.0 IP, 21 K). 

SEAHAWKS SAYINGS
Salve Regina took a convincing 16-3 game at Johnson & Wales Thursday to improve to 13-8-2 on the season. In CCC play, the Seahawks are unbeaten, 6-0-2.

Three different hitters have over 30 hits led by Michael Breen's 34. Breen has brought in a team-best 23 runs and scored a squad-high 22 himself. Tyler Cannone is second on the squad in hits (31) and RBI (21) to go along with 20 runs scored, which he shares second on the team with Dylan Ketch, who has supplied 30 hits and 20 RBI. 

Dominic Perachi and Patrick Maybach will most likely get the nods this weekend. Perachi boasts a 0.23 ERA over 39.0 innings in six appearances, all starts with 70 strikeouts. Maybach, meanwhile, holds a 2.21 ERA in 36.2 innings of work with 49 punchouts.
