Baseball Secures Second in GNAC Tournament

BOSTON – The Suffolk baseball team will take the second-place seeding into the GNAC Tournament, set to get underway with single-elimination rounds Tuesday, May 3.

The Rams, who finished 30-10 overall, just the fourth-team in Suffolk baseball's 69-year history to eclipse 30-wins, and 11-3 in league action, and Saint Joseph's (Maine), who earned the top seed and the regular-season title to finish 12-2 in conference play, each avoid Tuesday's single-elimination round into the four-team double-elimination portion of the tournament.

In Tuesday's do-or-die action, third-seeded Lasell will host sixth-seeded Rivier at Brandeis at 7 p.m., while fourth-seeded Johnson & wales hosts fifth-seeded Albertus Magnus at 6 p.m.

Tuesday's winners will earn spots in the four-team double-elimination portion of the tournament. On Thursday, May 5 the Rivier-Lasell winner will travel to East Boston Memorial Park for a 7 p.m. showdown with the Rams, while the Albertus Magnus-JWU winner will make the trek to Saint Joseph's to face the Monks.

JWU, as a predetermined host, will host the Saturday and Sunday portion of the GNAC Tournament.

Second Round – Thursday, May 5 (Double-Elimination Begins)
