Mission Statement

The Suffolk University Athletic Training Department is devoted and committed to providing every student-athlete safe, effective and high-quality medical care independent of race, gender, scholarship status, or sport. This is maintained through prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries grounded in evidence-based foundations. In addition, it is the goal of the Athletic Training Department to provide a safe return to full athletic participation and continued athletic success. The Suffolk University Athletic Training Department supports the ongoing education of student-athletes through the Suffolk University Athletic Department's mission with a commitment to the student-athlete's physical, mental and emotional well-being.  

The Rams Athletic Training Staff are licensed and certified athletic trainers, working directly with orthopedic surgeons and physicians holding specialty degrees.   

Suffolk is proud to be affiliated with the Massachusetts General Hospital Sports Medicine Center, which gives Suffolk's student-athletes access to world class resources including appropriate referrals, restoration and improvement of health and well-being, enhancement of student-athlete performance and implementation of collaborative preventative measures. MGH Sports Medicine & Sports Physical Therapy, which provides medical care for the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and the New England Revolution, is just steps away from the Ridgeway Building, home of Suffolk University Athletics.

Athletic Training Online Resources

Training Room Hours of Operation

Suffolk's Athletic Training Room is located on the second floor of the Ridgeway Building, the home of Suffolk Athletics, Room 209. 

Day-to-day hours are on an appointment based system with the Rams' Athletic Trainers. The hours of operation vary from season-to-season.

Suffolk's Athletic Training Room is open one hour before the first practice of the day and will close 30 minutes after the last practice of the day. 

An Athletic Trainer will be available from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. This schedule is flexible and may change due to practices and game schedules. Please ask the individual athletic trainer for their schedule prior to heading to the Athletic Training Room. 

Pre- and post-practice treatment is avaiable by appointment with the Athletic Training staff. Please click here to make an appointment. Student-athletes may also book an appointment via the QR code posted on the second floor of the Ridgeway Building.
