BOSTON – Suffolk University Athletics community joined forces over October 13-14, in support of the department's second Support Ram Nation Day.  

The event encouraged alumni, students, parents, friends, neighbors, faculty and staff to make a participatory gift to help shape the future of Suffolk Athletics, while having an immediate impact on the experiences of today's student-athletes and their teams.  

The endeavor was a rousing success, raising $32,312 from 178 gifts.  

"The support for our student-athletes, coaches and sports programs on Support Ram Nation Day is truly remarkable," Director of Athletics Cary McConnell said. "Thank you to all of our alumni and friends of Suffolk Athletics. Your contributions will play a vital role in achieving championship success across multiple sports." 

The success of the event was due in large part to generous alumni who gave back to the programs that helped make their time in blue-and-gold, both competing and working towards their degrees, memorable.  

"Support Ram Nation Day will become an annual event on the Suffolk Athletics calendar," McConnell added. "The day is a way to unite our entire community around the goal of providing resources for our student-athletes and coaches to provide a world class college experience and vie for championships."
