Suffolk Sees 56 Rams Garner CCC Fall Academic All-Conference

BIDDEFORD, Maine – In its second eligible fall season as a department, a record-number of Rams were among 558 student-athletes across the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) to be acknowledge for academic accomplishments with a spot on the CCC Fall Academic All-Conference Team, the league office Thursday morning. 

In order to be recognized as a member of the CCC Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) and must also have attained sophomore status. The league's all-academic team was split by semester in 2012-13. 

Suffolk's 56 student-athletes represent the Rams' men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and women's volleyball team. The 56 individuals honored are the most for the blue-and-gold for the fall semester surpassing the 48 Rams recognized in the fall of 2020. Institution wise, all 10 of the CCC members saw student-athletes earn spots on the year. Suffolk's 56 individuals to achieve the feat are the sixth most institution wise with Salve Regina's 80 leading the way. For the complete 2021 CCC Fall Academic All-Conference Team, click here.  

On the league sport level, women's soccer had the most honorees with 124 with Suffolk women's squad accounting for a dozen of that total.  

In the Rams' team race, Will Feldman's men's cross country team led the way with a 13 student-athletes taking home the honor, while the women's cross country had nine honorees. Suffolk's six-member women's tennis team all earned a place on the list with the men's soccer team and volleyball team represented by 10 and six student-athletes, respectively.
