UNITED SOCCER COACHES RELEASE

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Suffolk University's Sports Information Graduate Assistant Nick Perenick was awarded for his work Friday afternoon as his Ram Cam featuring men's soccer's Nigel Leo won the video feature category in the 2021 United Soccer Coaches Media Contest.

For the past 25 years, United Soccer Coaches has recognized outstanding works of journalism in the sport by honoring those who cover the games, personalities and stories at all levels of American soccer.

The United Soccer Coaches Media Contest recognized writers and reporters with work published in a newspaper (daily or weekly), magazine, website, television broadcast, or blog covering soccer. Freelance writers published in newspapers, magazines or as special features can also submit published articles.

Stories and features published from Dec. 1, 2020 through Nov. 30, 2021 were eligible for this year's contests.

Perenick, who began his work with Ram Nation as a Graduate Assistant in Sports Information in the Spring of 2021, brought Ram Cam, a Ram's eye view of a Suffolk student-athlete during a training session, to the table. He has been responsible for the execution of every project from start to finish. To take a look back at all of Perenick's Rams Cams, click here.
