Record Number of Rams Make Fall 2021 AD Honor Roll with 259 Students Recognized

BOSTON – Suffolk Athletics' student-athletes did not compromise their academics with the return of full practice and game schedules this fall in addition to the return of full-time in-person schedules as a record number of Rams earned a place on the AD Honor Roll for the 2021 Fall semester.

To be recognized on the AD Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade-point average of at least 3.0 and half full-time student status in the semester, with the exception of graduating players in their last semester at the institution. Suffolk Athletics has seen its largest student-athlete population to date with 339 Rams enrolled in the fall of 2021. Of that, 76 percent (259) achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher and for the second straight semester all 19 varsity teams combined for a team GPA of 3.0 or greater. As a department, student-athletes combined for a 3.320 semester GPA, one of the highest in recent history.

When broken down, 50 percent (168) of student-athletes achieved a spot on the Dean's List with a 3.5 GPA or greater and 27 percent (91) earned a 3.75 GPA or greater. In the team race, women's sports proved to be superior to men's taking four of the top five team GPAs. Women's tennis led the way with 3.501 with women's track & field (3.479), women's cross country (3.472) and softball (3.462) closely behind. Men's Golf highlighted the men's team with the department's fifth highest squad GPA of 3.437.
