Fraioli Named Ram of the Week

Fraioli Named Ram of the Week

BOSTON – The week 11 edition of Ram of the Week voting, which is a multi-hour Twitter Poll that determine the standout Suffolk student-athlete of the week, was one of the closest to date.

AND THE WINNER IS …

Natalie Fraioli scooped up 41.2 percent of the 68 total votes to grab the honor for the first time this season, third time in her career. The accolade comes on the heels of a 1-1 week for the Suffolk women's basketball team in which the senior contributed 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.

In the season opener, a 72-42 win over Boston Commons neighbor Emerson, the Sutton, Massachusetts, native, notched a game-high 15 points with seven caroms, two helpers, one block and one steal. Two days later, in an 88-72 setback at Bridgewater State, the swing player chipped in six points and six boards.

RAM RUNNER-UPS

2ND – 33.8 % - SHANA COTE – WOMEN'S HOCKEY

Shana Cote had an offensive outburst of seven points on two goals and five assists in a home-and-home series sweep of Curry. She opened the series with a one-goal, one-helper effort in the opener, a 3-2 win over the Colonels, before producing a personal-best five points behind a career-high four handouts and one goal in the Rams' 10-3 victory over Curry.

3RD – 20.6 % - MATYAS CSIKI-FEJER – MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Matyas Csiki-Fejer finished fourth at the 2021 NCAA Division III East Cross Country Regionals with an 8k time of 25:41 at Franklin Park. His fourth-place performance is the best every regional run by a Suffolk student-athlete – either male or female – and the highest finish by a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) student-athlete at a regional race.

4TH – 4.4 % - PJ DONAHUE – MEN'S HOCKEY

PJ Donahue contributed at least one point in men's hockey 0-1-1 series with Curry. He logged his first collegiate point, a goal, in the 3-3 draw with the Colonels, before dishing out his first collegiate assist the next night. He finished the second game with Curry with two handouts.
