#RamsFanFest, Suffolk Block Party to Benefit Suffolk CARES Pantry

BOSTON – The sixth annual #RamsFanFest event on tap for this Saturday, Oct. 23 will not only turn into a Suffolk University Block Party with President Marisa J. Kelly, but serve as a drive for the Suffolk CARES Pantry for the second time.

The last time Suffolk University and Suffolk Athletics put on #RamsFanFest in 2019 the event brought in 200-plus donations to the Suffolk CARES Pantry. Suffolk CARES works collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, staff and other campus resources to provide support for students through a variety of challenges they may encounter while at Suffolk.

Similar to two years ago, fans that bring a non-perishable item to the Fan Fest celebration will be given a free Suffolk Athletics t-shirt while supplies last.

In addition to the t-shirt giveaway, there will be a raffle to current students for tickets to an upcoming Bruins game, as well as a gift card to the Suffolk University Book Store.

Rams Fan Fest commences at 11 a.m. with Rammy's Fun Run. All ages of Ram Nation, whether alumni, family, faculty, staff, students or friends, are encouraged to run or walk the 5k through the streets of East Boston for a great cause Suffolk CARES Pantry. Participants of the event will receive a custom FREE Rammy 5K t-shirt. To register for the race, click here.

The race's finish line is where the family-friendly fan fest festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. in block party style with President Kelly. Food trucks, lawn games, pumpkin painting, photo booths, exclusive giveaways and more await outside James A. Sartori Stadium in East Boston, Massachusetts.

To cap off the event is Suffolk's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) soccer doubleheader against Curry. The women's team takes on the Colonels at 1 p.m., with the men's game directly following.

Registration for the event is encouraged and can be done so here

Admission to all Suffolk Athletic events is free and East Boston Memorial Park is just a 10-minute subway (T) ride from the University's downtown campus. Fans are urged to travel the Blue Line from Bowdoin or State Street to the Airport stop and take the few minutes' walk over to the stadium. A shuttle bus will also transport patron's planning to attend the celebration from Suffolk's campus, pick up across from 8 Ashburton Place, to the fields throughout the day beginning at 10:30 a.m.

With the health and well-being of students, staff and fans remaining the highest priority, it is important for Ram Nation to acknowledge the fan policy prior to attending any contests in 2021-22. The policy, which can be changed at any time, can be found here

#RamFanFest is part of Suffolk Weekend, which combines two annual celebrations – Alumni Weekend and Family Weekend. These events bring the entire University community together and allows members of the Suffolk community and their families to reconnect or get acclimated with Suffolk.
