The 207 student-athletes enrolled in full-time classes this spring representing the University's 14 varsity intercollegiate squads combined for a 3.18 overall GPA with 79 student-athletes earning a spot on the Dean's List (3.5 GPA or higher).

"Suffolk Athletics' success on the field, court, and ice, is directly correlated to our student-athletes success inside the classroom and we could not be more proud of what they achieved in academia and athletics throughout the 2017 Spring Semester," said Director of Athletics Cary McConnell. "As a Suffolk Athletics community – student-athletes, teams, coaches and staff - strive to embody the true definition of a Division III student-athlete – student first; athlete second – and it is evident with 71.0 percent of the Rams' achieving a 3.0 GPA or higher."

Of the 147 Rams' on the honor roll nine achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA; Hannah DelCervo (Softball), Bryan Etter (Men's Hockey), Marissa Gudauskas (Women's Basketball), Connor Henry (Men's Hockey), Sean Henry (Men's Hockey), Taylor Holmes (Softball), Emily Manfra (Women's Cross Country), Madison Veit (Women's Cross Country) and Ali Yamakaitis (Softball).

Men's hockey's Etter, women's basketball's Gudauskas and softball's Holmes put together a perfect 2016-17 academic year, producing 4.0 GPAs in both semesters. Manfra and Veit, meanwhile, were major contributors to Suffolk's team with the highest semester GPA with the squad putting a 3.85 GPA in the 2017 Spring semester with all five members making not only the AD Honor Roll, but the University's Dean's List.
