I have an overwhelming amount of gratitude toward the Suffolk women’s tennis team. Throughout my four years on this team, I have acquired role models, incredible friends, an energetic team, and priceless experiences. I couldn’t have been more honored to lead this season’s team as captain. I am so proud of the girls who I have known and grown with over these four years, as well as the girls who joined the team for the first time this year and gave it their all. We overcame a lot of challenges on and off the court together, and we were supported through these challenges by the most energetic and encouraging new coach. Thank you, Drew

Although this team requires an extra ounce of effort to make up for its small size and daunting commutes, the extra effort is worth it in moments like matches that go on until 10 p.m. at Gordon College accompanied by unrelenting support and enthusiasm from every tennis player on this team. I give a special acknowledgment to my co-captain and best friend, Alyssa (Blade), who has supported me and experienced the growth of this team since day one, August 28, 2019 (but who’s keeping track). I’ve procured a level of focus to push through a match point-by-point, a level of focus and persistence that I will continue to apply off the court. This team will always have my support, let’s keep it going ladies.
