I believe that NCAA Division III hockey is one of the purest forms a player can partake in. Most of us will not play professionally and even a larger fraction will not make a living off the sport, but every day we show up to the rink after classes, work, and life in general, prepared to give our 100 percent effort. I've been lucky enough to call Boston my home with my best friends for the past four years being a Ram has given me so many memories. Scoring two goals senior night, beating Norwich at home, and playing in multiple playoff games have provided on-ice memories that I will never forget, but to me, the off-ice memories have meant just as much or even more. The bus ride back from Norwich after beating them, the countless team meetings at Friend Street (aka the lodge), Sunday football at Fleet Street, are some of the best times of my life. I truly am so thankful for these memories and the relationships that I have made that will last past my time on the ice as a Suffolk Ram.

I had no idea what to expect when I came in freshman year to Suffolk. I had just finished up my junior career and hockey had been all I did or cared about for the past two years. Immediately I fell in love with the academics here being able to make relationships with professors and faculty that have helped me professionally and as a person. The multiple internships working for the Governor and on campaigns, I don't think would've been possible without the help of these mentors and the university. Being around people who truly cared for me every day helped me flourish and succeed in my goals. Professionally I have always kept my sight on becoming a lawyer and next year I will be attending George Washington University Law School. Attending a top-25 law school was something I didn't know was achievable and Suffolk University helped tremendously in making this dream a reality.

Lastly, I wanted to thank the teammates I’ve had over the years. So many of them have pushed me, challenged me, and believed in me not only on the ice but as a person. There are a few that I owe a lot to that I don't know if I could ever put into words what they have done for me but will try to articulate their impact on the growth I've incurred. First, I'd like to thank my captains Mikhail Bryan, Mike Levine, Brian Brooks, and Joe Vingi. I am forever grateful for Mikhail and Mike who took me in freshman year and showed me the ropes. Basically, living at that apartment on Endicott Street freshman year, you both taught me what this program is really about and how to face adversity. Still, you both give me guidance and advice and have truly helped shape the person that I am today. I will always look up to both of you. Bootsy and Vengini, you gave me some of the greatest perspectives on hockey and life and the balance between both that allowed me to succeed in all aspects of being a student-athlete. You are both lifelong friends.

To my fellow seniors, Billy Roche, John Garrity, and Joe Feeney. Holy Sh*t it’s been a ride. The Garden was always rocking, and the boys were always buzzing. You guys have been with me through every high and low and without your continuous support and friendship, I don't know how I would've made it at some points. I can't wait for the last few months of senior year and I just know Garry's sweet potatoes are heating up in the oven. To my CS boys and Sunday crew Pete Nugent (girth), Nick Lachaine (buzzing), Devin Lowe (Stephen), Max Rand (my duck), Ryan Donnelly (lil dooks), Ryan Harrigan (harry), Henry Bishop (hank), Adam Romano (papi) Cal Wilcox (cal), Alex Kolowrat (stinky), Ben Ginsberg (ginzo), and Ricardo Orphanos (dj rico) you all mean the absolute world to me and I am so glad that Suffolk brought us together. I could not ask for better teammates and friends with who I have shared so many memories and can't wait for the new ones in the future. CS and Sunday crew live on.

There are so many other teammates that have also contributed, and I am so appreciative to have met all of you. Moving on to the next chapter of my life is something I am excited about, but saying goodbye to hockey, Boston, and my best friends is a tough pill to swallow. I can't thank Suffolk University enough for creating such a hard goodbye and I am so thankful that I have been able to spend the best four years of my life here.

6 out.
