BEVERLY, Mass. – Sarah Mullahy of the Suffolk volleyball team has been named a participant to the New England Women's Volleyball Association Senior Classic All-Star Event, the organization unveiled Wednesday morning.  

On Sunday, Dec. 8, Mullahy, will join the top senior student-athletes in NCAA Division III New England women's volleyball for the NEWVA Senior Classic All Star Game and Skills Competition. The event, proudly sponsored by adidas and The Graphic Edge, will be held in the Lahue Physical Education Center on the campus of Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts.  

Mullahy is the first Ram to be selected to the annual event and one of three representatives of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) with Taylor Dunster and Jess Whyte representing Rivier.

As a senior captain this season, she helped the blue-and-gold to standout success this season, as the team cemented its spot as the winningest in the program's 24-year history with a 20-12 overall record. Against conference competition, the Rams also won the most league outings to capture the highest seed in the postseason since 2005. More milestones came in the quarterfinals as fourth-seeded Suffolk won its first home playoff match, a straight set decision over fifth-seeded Colby Sawyer, to advance to the semifinals for the second straight season.  

Mullahy contributed 1.77 kps to the Rams' 10.41 kills per set offense. The middle block was also tall at the net with 44 total blocks to go along with 29 aces from the service line.
