Suffolk improved to 7-5 overall and 3-2 against conference counterparts thanks to its stellar 3-0 week.

Hannah Fabiano's 2.64 kps continue to lead the way with the freshman middle hittier adding 2.30 dps and 0.40 bps to the defensive effort as well. Talia Lombardo is an all-around player for the Rams with the junior outside hitter contributing 1.80 kps, 1.96 assists per set, nearly 1.00 aces per set (0.98) and 2.24 dps. Lasell brings a 6-14 record and 0-2 league ledger into the midweek matchup after spending the weekend at the Skidmore Classic, where the Lasers went 1-3.

Olivia Addington's 3.78 kps pace the pack offensively while Mickayla Shelburn (2.19 kps) also notches well above 2.00 kps. Taylor Tiezzi has taken on the main setting duties for Lasell, dishing out 8.55 aps. Katie Schneider has also set up the Lasers' offensive, handing out 5.22 aps.

ROOKIE RECOGNITION

SWEEPS

  • Seven of Suffolk's 14 matches have been determined in straight sets.
  • The Rams are 3-4 this season when playing in three-set matches.

WHEN IT COMES TO FIVE

  • Suffolk has played three five-set thrillers this season with the Rams owning a 2-1 record in such outings.
  • Overall under Bonny Ducharme, the blue-and-gold is 4-1 when going the distance.

SETTING IT UP
Liz Kerek has dished out 993 career assists and needs just seven more to become the newest member of Suffolk's 1,000 assist club. Only a pair of Rams has eclipsed the 1,000-assist plateau Julie Sullivan (1,821) in 2010 and Katie Hemlin (1,134) in 2005. Currently, Kerek is third on the all-time career list behind Sullivan and Hemlin in the Rams' record books.

UP NEXT
Suffolk continues its homestand as it hosts its second home tri-match of 2017 Saturday, Oct. 7. The Rams will first meet the Mustangs of Mount Ida at 10 a.m. to open action before closing the day in a non-conference contest against Framingham State at 2 p.m.
