BOSTON – The Suffolk volleyball team is set for another weekend, road tri-match Saturday. The Rams travel across the Boston Common to Emerson where they will play Curry at 1 p.m., before taking on the Lions at 3 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Trailing 2-0, the Suffolk volleyball team forced a fourth set, but could not complete the comeback as Simons set-back the Rams, 3-1, Wednesday night at Moore Gymnasium. The GNAC defeat came by set scores of 25-17, 25-7, 19-25 and 25-13.
Bridget Allison led the attack for the Rams as the freshman hit .385 and added seven digs and two blocks on the defensive side. Jane Buckley added four kills with Liz Kerek dishing out 11 assists. Talia Lombardo notched seven digs, four aces and three kills for Suffolk.

RUN DOWN ON THE RAMS
After taking down Becker, 3-1, Tuesday night the Rams lost by an identical figure at Simmons Wednesday to move to 4-10 on the year and 1-4 in GNAC action.
Bridget Allison leads Suffolk's attack with 1.89 kps while Chidera Nwankwo adds 1.63 kps off a team-high .207 hitting clip with Liz Kerek's 4.47 aps lending a hand to the Rams' offense.
Talia Lombardo contributes 1.52 kps, but excels on the defensive side as the freshman records 3.28 dps. Emma Feeney and Nwankwo chip in 3.28 dps and 0.46 bps, respectively.
CATCH UP ON THE COLONELS
Curry sits at 5-7 overall and will play Bay Path before the weekend's tri-match.
Grace Stafford paces the Colonels charge with 1.95 kps with Nicole Rice's 1.92 kps falling a close second. Makayla Hughes (3.58 aps) and Alyssa Keeney (3.11 aps) have shared the setting duties.
Courtney Carroll sports a team-best 4.37 dps with Rice's 0.55 bps leading the way at the net.
LITTLE BIT 'BOUT THE LIONS
Coming off a straight-set win at Smith, Curry enters the weekend 7-6 overall.
Jules Augustine is first on the Lions' team with 1.91 ops with the duo of Amanda Linzmeyer (1.89) and Brittany Schoellkopf (1.77) adding over 1.75 kps. Elaine Nichols has passed out 4.48 aps with Moira Brennan adding 3.92 aps. Defensively, Sam Horton and Nichols contribute 3.74 dps and 2.52 dps, respectively, with Halley Dewey adding 0.78 bps to the effort.

SERVING UP ACES
Suffolk scored 19 aces in a straight set victory over Massachusetts Maritime, marking the most aces for a Rams' squad since 2011. Freshman Talia Lombardo tallied eight aces in the victory, the most for a Ram since Melissa Griffin '12 served that number in a 3-1 victory over Eastern Nazarene September 22, 2011.
In GNAC action, Suffolk has served 32 aces to sit second in service aces in GNAC competition.
