BOSTON – For the second time this season, Allison Rodrigues of the Suffolk women's outdoor track & field team has been tabbed GNAC Rookie of the Week for her efforts at MIT's Sean Collier Invitational, the league office unveiled Monday.

Rodrigues, who became the first-ever member of the Suffolk women's track & field program for her performance as a rookie on the conference level April 8, picked up her second such nod Monday afternoon after putting together a trio of top four finishes at the Sean Collier Invitational Saturday.

The North Andover, Massachusetts, native's highlight performance came in the shot put as she topped the 26-competitor field with a toss of 11.39 meters to clinch a spot at the upcoming 2019 NCAA Division III New England Championships May 4. The freshman also competed in the discus, where she finished third out of 20 with a throw of 32.64 meters, and the javelin, in which she claimed fourth with a 32.98-meter finish.

Rodrigues and the Rams look to keep the momentum up as they head to the GNAC Championships Sunday, April 28 at Regis.
