Manfra Finishes Third in 3000 at Beantown Challenge

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Emily Manfra represented Suffolk women's indoor track & field and NCAA Division III with a third-place finish in the 3000 at Harvard's Beantown Challenge Saturday afternoon at Gordon Indoor Track.  

Manfra, the lone NCAA DIII student-athlete invited to the event, made her presence known racing against counterparts from the region's best including Boston College, UConn, Holy Cross, UMass Amherst, UMass Lowell, and Stonehill. The Stoneham, Massachusetts, put together the fourth-best time in NCAA DIII this season, clocking in at 10:03.20 for third place in the field of 24. She was 7.9 behind runner-up, Anna Oeser of Boston College, who finished 2.6 after her teammate Lauren White.  

Manfra and the remaining Rams will be back in action next weekend at Tufts Invitational Saturday, Jan. 18.
