EAST BOSTON – The Suffolk women's ice hockey team was dealt a 5-3 defeat to Trinity on Saturday evening at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emma Holmes opened the scoring just over four minutes in, redirecting a feed from Liliana Moose to give the Rams the lone goal of the first period.
- Trinity answered early in the second as Livia Angioletti finished a chance set up by Cassidy Yuan and Caroline Helm.
- Alexia Hill restored the Rams' edge midway through the frame, snapping home a blue-line strike off a Bella Schmidt setup to make it 2-1.
- With the period winding down, Sophie Russell buried a net-front tip to send the teams into the third knotted at 2-2.
- The Bantams seized control in the final stanza with three straight tallies from Nina McKenna, Caroline Holm, and an empty-netter by Lillian Cassidy.
- Aiden Levee-Oshiro added a late marker with 57 seconds left, but Trinity held on for a 5-3 decision.
NETMINDER NOTES
- Katelyn Michals stopped 34 shots in the contest.
- Madeline Carter recorded 17 saves in his first win of the season.
