Cote Collects NEHC Player of the Week

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Suffolk women's hockey's Shana Cote picked up New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Player of the Week honors after a one-goal, two-assists performance in 1-1 week for the Rams, the league office announced Monday.

Cote helped Suffolk secure its second straight conference opening win, a 3-2 victory at Plymouth State, November 8 as she dished out a pair of assists, including the game-tying and game-winning goals.
A day later, the Broomfield, Colorado native, potted the only puck for the blue-and-gold in its home opener, a 3-1 setback to Castleton.

The sophomore is Suffolk's leading scorer this season with four points, all of which have come in the last three games. Her stat line is divided in half with goals (2) and helpers (2).

Cote is the first Ram to be recognized by the conference as the best player over a seven-day stretch in program history. The accolade brings her weekly award total to two as she was named the league's best rookie Nov. 12, 2018.

Cote and Suffolk return to action with a road weekend. The Rams stop by Salem State, Friday, Nov. 15 and UMass Boston, Saturday, Nov. 16.
