Women’s Golf Entire Roster Earns WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – For the second straight season, Suffolk women's golf saw student-athletes pick up All-American Scholar recognition from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), the national organization announced. The Rams entire five-player roster Brooke BugajewskiEmory GoodsonKrisna MahendranClare Stackpole-McGrath and Ella Torsleff, scooped up the honor. 

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must:  

  • Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher
  • Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season
  • Have played in 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship  

In total, 1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs took home the prestigious honor. Suffolk the only program from the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) to make the list. 

Bugajewski and Torsleff secured the honor for the second time in their careers and in as many years, while Goodson, Mahendran and Stackpole-McGrath received the nod for the first time.
