Fraioli Named GNAC Rookie of the Week

BOSTON – Natalie Fraioli of the Suffolk women's basketball team has been honored as the GNAC Player of the Week after the Rams went 1-1 at the Naples Shootout to cap off the 2018 portion of their schedule.

Over the two-game tournament, Fraioli produced 10.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg and 1.0 apg. After seeing just six minutes of action against No. 4/6 Tufts to open the tourney, the Sutton, Massachusetts, native, put together a career afternoon to lead Suffolk to a 66-47 victory over St. Mary's (Md.). In the win, the 5-foot-10 guard produced personal-bests in points (21), field goals made (8) and assists (2), while adding five rebounds and a pair of steals.

Fraioli has been a role reserve player this season, chipping in 5.7 ppg and 2.0 rpg in 13.8 minutes per outing. She is the second Ram to be recognized by the conference for her effort over a seven-day stretch with Jenni-Rose DiCecco earning the first nod of the season with the league's player of the week status Dec. 10.

Fraioli and the Rams return to action Tuesday, Jan. 8 when they welcome Rivier to Regan Gymnasium for a 6 p.m. conference clash.
