BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team opens a two-game road-week, its last of the regular-season, at Albertus Magnus Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.     showdown.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's basketball team was outscored, 19-2, in the second stanza and the Rams could not fully recover, as the St. Joseph's (Maine) Monks held off multiple comeback attempts to edge the blue-and-gold, 66-59, Saturday afternoon inside Regan Gymnasium.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
With four games remaining on the regular-season schedule, Suffolk sits in second-place in the GNAC South Standings with a 10-3 league ledger and 15-7 overall mark. 

Suffolk is producing the fourth-best offense in the league with 67.1 ppg on the third-highest field goal percentage (38.8) and best connection rate from downtown (35.0). The Rams well-balanced attack is constantly led by a duo of seniors in Kelsey Schiebel (10.5 ppg) and Georgia Bourikas (10.4 ppg). 

On the defensive end, Suffolk truly shines as the blue-and-gold grabs the best rebounds in the league at 47.4 including 32.4 defensive boards, which also sits atop the conference. The Rams bring down 9.5 rebounds over their opponents. Caitlyn Caramello and Katelyn Rourke boost the charge with 7.4 rpg and 7.3 rpg, respectively. Alexandra Clarke (6.5 rpg), Bourikas (5.7 rpg) and Alexis Hackett (5.7 rpg) also get in on the action on the glass. 

FALCONS FACTS
Albertus Magnus picked up an 81-46 victory over Simmons Saturday to carry winning momentum into Tuesday's tilt. The 12-9 overall and 7-5 GNAC Falcons currently are in fourth place in the South Standings. 

The Falcons are the most potent scorers in the GNAC, pouring in 72.0 ppg with the highest attempts in field goals (65.8) and free throws (25.8) per outing. The conference's best individual offensive threat, Olivia Bolden, leads Albertus Magnus' charge with 20.0 ppg. Liz Falcigno and Jill Johnson add double figures to the effort in 14.8 ppg and 10.8 ppg, respectively. 

Albertus Magnus sits second behind Suffolk on the glass with 44.5 rpg, but the Falcons are only outrebounding their opponents by a 1.4 margin. Bolden once again leads the way for the squad and the league on the glass with the junior forward pulling down 12.0 rpg. Falcigno chips in 8.7 rpg. 

WE MEET AGAIN
Playing in front of its home crowd for the first time in 2017, the Suffolk women's basketball team put on a show as it cruised past Albertus Magnus 71-53 in GNAC action Thursday night inside Regan Gymnasium for its fourth consecutive victory.

JOINING THE ELITE
Thursday night Kelsey Schiebel joined an elite group of Rams with her 100th career appearance in blue-and-gold. Schiebel is now one of 16 Suffolk women's basketball players to take the hardwood in 100 games.  

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Since November 28 the GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week has donned Suffolk blue-and-gold with Alexis Hackett earning six honors, including four straight from Dec. 12 - Jan. 16, and Katelyn Rourke picking up the nod twice, Dec. 5 and Jan. 23. 

BEST ROOK IN NEW ENGLAND
After collecting her fifth GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week nod this season, Suffolk women's basketball's Alexis Hackett earned another recognition as the NEWBA named her Rookie of the Week, the association announced Monday afternoon.
