BOSTON – The Suffolk women's basketball team doubled Wentworth's points to cruise past the Leopards, 92-46, in non-conference action inside Tansey Gymnasium Monday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a back-and-forth opening, Suffolk turned up its engines and jumped ahead 10-4 on a good triple from Kelsey Schiebel. Wentworth cut the Rams margin to two, 17-15, with 2:02 to go in the first frame, but Suffolk outscored the Leopards, 5-2 down the stretch to hod a 22-17 edge after the first 10 minutes. 

Suffolk charged into the second stanza, scoring the first seven points and did not look back from there to gain a 49-26 advantage at the half. 

The Suffolk show continued over the second half as the Rams piled on the points, and held Wentworth to just six to push its advantage to 67-32 after three quarters. 

The final frame was much of the same and the Rams walked away with the convincing 92-46 triumph. 

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

• All 13 Rams who stepped on the Tansey Gymnasium hardwood contributed to Suffolk's season-high point total. 
• Kelsey Schiebel led the way with 16 points, shooting 7-for-11 from the floor, including 2-of-5 from three-point range. The senior point guard dished out three assists and recorded on board and steal, respectively. 
• Junior Alexandra Nagri added 13 points and an impressive five steals. 
• Katelyn Rourke joined the upperclassmen in double figures as the freshman had a career-day with 12 points, six boards, three steals and one assist. 
• The Rams shot 53.6 percent from the floor (30-56), but struggled from beyond the arc with a 28.6 connection rate (4-14). Suffolk also shined at the line, going 28-for-40. 
• Suffolk held the advantage on the glass, 43-27, in assists, 21-9, and steals, 14-1, while Wentworth recorded one more block than the Rams, 3-2. 

NOTEABLES

• Suffolk scored the most points in the all-time series with Wentworth, which dates back to 1986. 
• The Rams recorded their sixth straight win over the Leopards and improved to 24-9 overall against Wentworth and 11-2 on as the away team versus the Leopards. 
• The 14 steals mark the most by the Rams since they took away 16 in a 66-30 win over Fitchburg State Dec. 3, 2015 with Nagri's five steals marking the most by a single Ram since Georgia Bourikas notched five in that win over the Falcons last season. 
• Rourke recorded career-bests in points (12) and steals (3). 
• Shannon Smith notched a career-high in points (7), while Jordan Pettograsso grabbed a career-best five boards. 
• The reigning GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week, Alexis Hackett dished out a career-best five assists. 
• Freshmen Ciarri Formby-Lavertu and Marissa Stacy scored the first points of her collegiate career with three and two, respectively.
