BOSTON – Before gearing up for final exams, the Suffolk women's basketball team closes out 2015 action on the Larry E. Smith, Michael S. Smith Court inside Regan Gymnasium as Springfield College comes to town Monday night for a 6 p.m. game.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's basketball team overcame a 12-point deficit and outscored Wentworth, 37-17, in the second half for a 65-49 triumph over its Boston rival inside Regan Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

After a career-high performance Tuesday night, Chelsea Campellone put up new career-best numbers with a monster game of 30 points and 17 boards. Campellone is the first player to put in 30 points since Jennifer Ruys '14 scored 31 at Rivier January 31, 2013, while her 17 rebounds are the most for a Ram since Tori Brillaud '15 grabbed 18 against Johnson & Wales February 5, 2013. The senior, who notched her fourth double-double of the season, shot 9-of-17 from the field and had a 12-of-14 outing at the line. Georgia Bourikas and Caitlyn Caramello each had 10 points on the day off the bench. Bourikas added six boards, two assists, two steals and one block to her stat line, while Caramello chipped in 10 caroms, one assist and one takeaway to Suffolk's winning effort.

DOUBLE DIP
Monday's game against Springfield is part of a doubleheader for the Rams, as the men's team will take on Wheelock following the women's game at 8 p.m.

The last time Suffolk played a men's and women's double-header was February 17, 2015 when the women defeated Saint Joseph's of Maine, 68-51, before the men fell to Anna Maria, 88-79.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior forward Chelsea Campellone was named the GNAC Player of the Week Dec. 14 after averaging 27.0 ppg and 15.0 rpg over two games for the Rams. Campellone shot 48.6 percent from the floor during the 2-0 week and an impressive 90.0 percent at the line.

This was the first GNAC weekly award of Campellone's career and second for the Rams this season.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS

• Suffolk is set to play its third straight game under the friendly confines of Regan Gymnasium with the Rams winning two straight to move to 6-3 on the season.
• Two Suffolk seniors have provided the majority of the Rams' offense this season. Forward Chelsea Campellone leads the team with 14.0 ppg while guard Alessandra Quadri scores 10.6 ppg.
• Campellone has also shined defensively for Suffolk as she contributes 10.3 rebounds to the Rams' 47.3 rebounds per outing, which ranks second-best among GNAC schools.

PROWL ON THE PRIDE

• Springfield enters play today with a 5-2 overall record and rides a three-game win-streak after defeating Worcester State, 63-51, Friday.
• Heather Lewis is the lone player on the Pride averaging double figures as the senior guard puts in 12.2 ppg. Emily Gins is on the cusp of double-digits with 9.3 ppg, while Ava Adadmopoulos and Heather King add 8.9 ppg and 8.7 ppg, respectively.
• King (7.3 rpg) and Gins (7.1 rpg) are Springfield's threats on the glass as the team brings down 41.3 rpg.
• Springfield is averaging 58.9 ppg this season while shooting 36.5 percent from the field and is allowing opponents to score just 53.9 ppg on a 36.3 shooting percentage.
