Quadri's 30 Points Lead Women's Basketball to Win

Senior Iliana Quadri (Sudbury, Mass.) netted 30 points to help lead the Suffolk University Women's Basketball team to a 77-72 victory over Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

Senior Shelby Santini (Winchester, Mass.) connected on a go-ahead three-pointer with 2:21 to lift Suffolk after they nearly squandered an 11-point second half lead to secure the victory.

Santini finished the game with 17 points on7-for-15 shooting from the field.

Quadri finished the game with a monster second-half performance that saw her net 21 points over the final 21 minutes on a 9-for-13 shooting clip from the floor, including a 3-for-5 effort from beyond the arc. The senior guard also collected five assists.

A pair of other players also put together double digit scoring totals for Suffolk in the win. Juniors Alessandra Quadri (Sudbury, Mass.) scored 12 points, while Chelsea Campellone (Fall River, Mass.) added 10 points.

The victory moves Suffolk to an 8-12 overall record on the season as they improve to 5-2 in GNAC action.

They will be back on the court on Tuesday evening when they travel to Rivier University for a 7:30pm conference game.
