BOSTON – Suffolk softball's 2020 calendar is composed of 40 games over six weeks with a Spring Break trip and eight doubleheaders at East Boston Memorial Park, head coach Jaclyn Davis announced Thursday afternoon.

Action opens in the Sunshine State as the Rams head south for the Spring Games in Central Florida. Over five days, Suffolk will compete in 10 games. The Rams will face familiar foes Geneva and Montclair State, renew rivalries with Alfred State, North Park, Skidmore and Westminster and face Clarkson, Mount Union, Westfield State and Trinity for the first time.

Seven days after returning to Beantown, the Rams lift the lid on their home schedule against Emerson Friday, March 20 with a Saturday showdown at Wentworth on tap the next day, March 21.

Suffolk splits time next week as well as it stops by Curry Tuesday, March 24 before entertaining Becker two days later when it closes the first month of play Thursday, March 26.

April action begins at Western New England Wednesday, April 1. That midweek match serves as final prep before GNAC play commences as Emmanuel and Rivier are scheduled to visit Eastie April 4-5.

The next four twinbills are on the road at Lesley (April 7), Norwich (April 9), Johnson & Wales (April 10) and Anna Maria (April 11).

From there, Suffolk welcomes Saint Joseph's (Maine) to Boston Sunday, April 19. That doubleheader precedes journeys to Roger Williams (April 22) and Albertus Magnus (April 24) and the regular-season wraps up against reigning conference champion Saint Joseph (Conn.) Saturday, April 25.

Suffolk's 36th season is the eighth under Davis' leadership. She brings back a wealth of experience from a year ago including catcher Ashley Zulla, first baseman Kelly Keane, outfielders Grace Boehler and Caitlin Murphy and twirlers Kennedy Reyes and Constance Phelan
