CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –The Suffolk men's tennis team dropped a non-league match on Friday night against crosstown foe Emerson by a 7-2 margin at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Suffolk found itself in a 3-0 hole after the Lions locked up all doubles points. 

The Rams picked up singles wins in the bottom two slots, but it would not be enough as Emerson took the remaining four courts to lock up the 7-2 victory. Hasan Esrawi was one of the pair of victories as the freshman defeated Emerson's Erik DiOrio on court six. Ben Bricker also made his way into the win column thanks to a 6-1, 3-6, 10-3 win over Bernardo Garza on court five.

4 – Brock Higley (Emerson) defeated Davis Alimonte (Suffolk) 3-6, 6-4, 10-4
5 – Ben Bricker (Suffolk) defeated Bernardo Garza (Emerson) 6-1, 3-6, 10-3
6 – Hasan Esrawi (Suffolk) defeated Erik DiOrio (Emerson) 6-1, 6-4

DOUBLES 
1 – Bass Lin/Dan Okin (Emerson) defeated Mike DeFelice/Rami Esrawi (Suffolk) 8-2
2 – Maximo Lawlor/Brock Higley (Emerson) defeated Chris Parnagian/Ben Bricker (Suffolk) 8-2

NOTEWORTHY

  • Rami Eswari made his collegiate singles debut and did so in winning fashion in the sixth spot. 

COMING UP
Suffolk is back in action tomorrow, Saturday, March 23 when it lifts the curtain on its GNAC schedule against Colby-Sawyer. The conference clash is set to begin at 1 p.m. at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.
