BOSTON – In a vote by the league's coaches, the Suffolk men's tennis team has been predicted to take fifth in the GNAC North Division, the league office announced Friday afternoon.
Eastern Nazarene, who joins the league for its first season, topped the North Division with 60 points and was a unanimous first place pick by all 10 head coaches. The 2018 conference runner-up Regis followed close behind with 41 votes. Colby Sawyer received 40 points to take third with Johnson & Wales sliding in fourth four points behind the Chargers. Suffolk's 19 points put the Rams in fifth with Norwich closing out the north side with 14 points.
In the south, the reigning GNAC champion Ramapo was also a unanimous first-place selection. Rutgers Newark fell into second (25), followed by Rutgers Camden (22) and Albertus Magnus rounding out the standings.
The Rams open their season with a three-match homestand, which begins Thursday, March 21 versus Wentworth.
